When to Use This Feature
- Your lab has announced a price increase and you need to adjust lens pricing
- A frame vendor has increased wholesale costs
- You need to standardize pricing adjustments across your entire inventory
🟢 Updating Lens Pricing
Step 1: Export Your Lens Catalog
- Navigate to
Maintenance>Lenses
- Click the
Exportbutton
- Your complete lens catalog will download as a file

Step 2: Adjust Pricing
- Upload your exported file to the SpexMan Price Adjustment Tool (click here)
- Enter your price adjustment:
- For price increases: Enter
+10(adds $10 to each item) - For price decreases: Enter
-5(subtracts $5 from each item)
- Click
Exportto download your updated pricing file
Step 3: Import Updated Pricing
- Return to
Maintenance>Lensesin SpexMan
- Click
Import
- Select your updated pricing file
- Wait for the import to complete
Large datasets may take up to one minute to process. Please be patient and do not close the window during import.👓
👓 Updating Frame Pricing
The process for frames is identical to lenses:
- Navigate to
Inventory>Frames
- Click
Export
- Upload to the Price Adjustment Tool (click here)
- Enter your adjustment (e.g.,
+15or-10)
Exportthe updated file
- Import back into SpexMan via
Inventory>Frames

Important Notes
- All pricing records update instantly once the import completes
- The adjustment applies to every item in your exported catalog
- Review your adjustments before importing to ensure accuracy
- Keep a backup of your original export in case you need to revert changes
- Large imports (1000+ items) may take up to one minute to process

- Export and adjust pricing during slower business hours to avoid workflow interruption
- Communicate price changes to staff before implementing
- Use the Price Adjustment Tool's preview feature to verify changes before exporting
