Add or Edit a Patient Own Frame (POF) Fee

If your office charges a fee when a patient brings in their own frame for new lenses, you can easily customize this fee. This fee is automatically added at checkout if applicable.

  1. Locate the Patient Own Frame Product
      • Go to Maintenance > Products
      • In the product list, look for the Product ID: 1
      • Product Name: Frame
      • Product Description: Customer Sales

  1. Edit the Frame Fee
      • Click the ✏️ Edit (pencil icon) next to the Frame product.
  1. Set Your Desired Retail Fee
      • In the Retail Fee field, enter the amount you'd like to charge for a patient-owned frame.
      • For example: 25.00 will apply a $25 charge at checkout.
  1. Set to $0 if No Fee Is Needed
      • If your office does not charge for patient-owned frames, leave the Retail Fee as 0.00.
  1. Save Your Changes
      • Click Save to apply the new fee.
       
The system will automatically apply this fee at checkout when a patient brings in their own frame. No manual entry needed—just set it once and it works behind the scenes.
