Introduction
Use this lens wizard to build package pricing for lens combinations. e.g. Premium PAL, Trivex, and Transitions Gray. For every lens combination, create every variation for colors, materials, and lens styles in just a few minutes.
This tool saves an immense amount of time manually entering in the multitude of lens options.
Accessing the Create Products Section
Select the
Maintenance tab in the left Navigation Menu and then select the Lenses tab and then click the Create products button in the Action Toolbar. 
This will open a pop-up window with a form.
Generate Multiple Lens Combinations
Assign name
Add the
Name of the product you wish to bundle. For example, type "Zeiss Individual" for one type of lens and "Super Eye" for another as a house brand.Add as many lenses as required - one name on each line.
Specify Lens Types and Materials
- Choose the
LTYPEtype of lenses for your bundle e.g. single vision, progressive, bifocal etc. Ensure to select the correct suffix that identifies the lens type.
- Add
LINDLens refractive Indexes. Choose as many options as needed
- Select the
Materialprovided for these lenses such as plastic, trivex, or poly. Keep selections simple initially to avoid complexity.
Choose Filters and Colors
- Add
Filter Typesfor the lenses, such as clear, transitions, or polarized options.
- Specify the
Colors Enumavailable for each type of filter, like grey and brown.
Build and Set Pricing
Click on the
Build Price button to start setting the prices for each type of lens and filter in the bundle.
Prices should be entered per lens and not as a pair. This applies to base lens, material, and add-ons like polarization.
e.g. Your normal retail price of a Digital SV lens is $150. Divide this by 2 so your cost per lens is $75.
Set a base price for each lens Name:
e.g. if the retail price for a pair of lenses is $200, set the price at $100 per lens. Remember to price for each lens individually.
Assign prices for additional features:
e.g. no additional cost for clear filters, $50 for transitions, and $75 for polarized lenses per lens. Remember these prices are per lens .
Assign Determine material costs:
e.g. $50 for Trivex and $30 for Poly, Remember these are individual costs per lens.
Save and Refresh
- Once all prices and combinations are set Click
OKto create the lens combinations, how many are created will depend on your inputs.
- Close the creation window and refresh your screen to see all newly created lens combinations listed, complete with their respective SKU numbers, filter types, and colors.
